My new Asics arrived in time for my weekend of walking. Just in case there was any doubt I needed a new pair of sneakers, I took a picture of the new pair side-by-side with the old pair. Can you guess which is which?!?The old pair clearly has been through several miles since I purchased them in October 2009!! And speaking of miles, my new sneakers and I walked 36.5 miles over the weekend! I finished 11.5 miles on Friday, 14 miles on Saturday (in the 34-degree mistiness), and 11 miles on Sunday. I feel good about the progress I'm making in my training, so far anyway.
Soon, I'll post an update on how my fundraising is going. It's good news, thanks to the generosity of my many wonderful supporters!!
